FDA-ready Wireless Temperature Monitoring for Dry Ice Cold Chain Logistics
To guarantee the safe delivery of ultra-low temperature sensitive commodities., dry ice cold chain transportation is critical. Pharmaceutical distributors, blood bank institutions, and frozen food traders widely adopt solid carbon dioxide packaging to keep vaccines, blood biological products, fresh seafood and frozen desserts stable during long-haul land transportation, ocean freight and air delivery. With a sublimation temperature as low as -78.5°C, dry ice creates an extremely cold transit environment that most ordinary temperature loggers cannot adapt to.
Tailored for the harsh scenarios of dry ice logistics, Freshliance Fresh Tracker 20 4G IoT data logger perfectly solves the common pain points of ultra-low temperature transit monitoring. It comes with an external temperature probe that supports a wide measuring range from -90°C to 200°C, stably operating without failure inside dry ice insulated packaging and cold containers.
Users are allowed to flexibly adjust the data logging interval, with a minimum interval of 1 minute, which can accurately capture subtle temperature fluctuations during transportation. The external probe achieves ±0.3°C high accuracy within -40°C to +100°C, and ±0.5°C for the extreme ranges of -80°C to -40°C and +100°C to +150°C, fully complying with the strict temperature monitoring standards of the pharmaceutical industry alike.
This wireless temperature monitoring device automatically transfers all temperature data to the Freshliance cloud platform via 4G network, enabling logistics teams to check real-time temperature remotely via mobile phones and computers anytime anywhere. To avoid data loss caused by signal interruption during transportation at remote road sections or open sea areas, each probe can locally cache up to 30,000 readings. All cached records will be automatically uploaded to the cloud once the network signal is restored, ensuring complete and continuous data records throughout the whole journey.

Once the cargo temperature exceeds the preset safe threshold, this dry ice temperature monitoring system will immediately send out notifications through email, SMS and APP push. It allows the logistics team to respond to abnormal conditions in the first place and effectively prevent commodity deterioration and economic losses. Users can export standard audit PDF reports with one click, greatly simplifying GxP and FDA official inspection procedures; or connect the logger with our dedicated Bluetooth printer for onsite instant readout.

Equipped with built-in LBS/GPS dual positioning functions, the IoT data logger records the complete transportation routes of each batch of goods. The configurable geofencing function supports users to set virtual delivery boundaries, and triggers real-time alerts whenever cargoes enter or leave the designated area. This function significantly improves the transparency, safety and real-time control of the entire dry ice cold chain process.
Beyond the external probe for ultra-low temperature monitoring, this intelligent IoT data logger is engineered with built-in sensors for multi-dimensional environmental monitoring, including temperature, humidity, illumination, shock and tilt status. It helps enterprises comprehensively grasp the cargo transportation environment, proactively identify potential transit risks, and fully guarantee the integrity and quality of goods.

The cloud platform is embedded with a professional FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant module, which realizes standardized data management, electronic signature verification and audit record control. It is ideal for medical institutions, biotech distributors and global frozen food exporters with high compliance requirements. Meanwhile, the open API interface supports seamless data integration with users’ logistics management systems. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
